Kefalonia

Kefalonia

What really sets the Greek island Kefalonia apart are its exotic and picturesque beaches and what Kefalonia offers in activities which are exceptional. Opportunities for sea kayaking, outdoor, sailing, donkey trekking, yellow boats riding, biking, wine touring, cruising, horse-riding, nature walks and boating. This island is great for romantic vacations as well as for family as it is an island so quiet yet big enough and offering a laid back style even in the high seasons. For sightseeing of the nearby places range from museums, monasteries and eleven villages such as Myrtos, Fiscardo, Antisamos, Skala and Assos.

Fiscardo has a port and it is one of the most beautiful villages. If you like castles, head on to Assos that overlooks the bay and it is situated on a peninsula. Towards east is Argostoli, a capital town and Agia Efimia which are mostly starting points to begin your excursions. A highlight of a monastery and castle is on Peratata, 8 km southeast of Argostoli.

On a travel usually I like to see architectures and its details. So for neoclassical style of houses, you can easily find those in Kourkoumelata. Ancient buildings still stand and you could discover the mythical birthplace of Odysseus. There are these magical and epic adventures that lives thousands of years on.
